Homegrown 2005
Welcome to winter and the high point of sensory indulgence - the International Film festival. All those hours in the dark soaking in the moving image. We are particularly proud of the Homegrown selection that we have put together this year, and hope you make it along to support these great local film makers and their projects. The New Zealand première is tomorrow night - at SkyCity theatre in Auckland at 5:00 p.m. and there are still tickets available (from Ticketek). The directors, producers, actors and key crew will all be there to introduce and talk about their films, so let’s give them a great turn out for the first public screening in their home country.
This year we are wrapped to roll out three different Homegrown programmes as part of the Telecom International Film Festival: Works on Film, Works on Video and Documentaries. With Homegrown, MIC offers a dynamic platform for emerging and established filmmakers to present their work at the highest level of film festival exhibition in this country.
