EMAF or European Media Art Festival is one of the world’s leading new media forums.

The European Media Art Festival, one of the largest
multimedia events for analogue and digital media art in
Europe is coming to Auckland. An interactive
exhibition, and two film screenings will give New
Zealand audiences a broad overview of whats hot in
contemporary international media art.
Continuing their trend of presenting top international
artists to local audiences (Wolfgang Strauss and
Monika Fleischman in 2001) MIC and the Goethe
Insitute are bringing leading media scientist Ralf
Sausmikat from EMAF’s home in Osnabru¨k, Germany,
to personally present the works.
The tour programme encompasses highlights of the
ongoing EMAF festival - work that bridges the
boundaries of art and technology to reflect ideas,
stories and new techniques of some of Europe’s
leading artists.
