Pollywood Shorts is an effort to promote Pacific Island Film-makers within an art form that Pacific Island people are increasingly becoming associated with.
The Moving Image Centre recognizes the need to build an awareness amongst the Pacific Island people as well as the general public, regarding Pacific Island Films. Pollywood brings the films to you.

Shortfuse

Shortfuse is a bimonthly series of film screenings of contemporary classic short films on video, 16mm and 35mm, which is designed to bring under-exposed short films out from under the radar and to examine and celebrate alternative filmmaking practices.

Festival of Festivals

The Auckland season of the Festival of Festivals - New Zealand’s annual French documentary film festival - is presented by the Embassy of France, the Moving Image Centre (MIC) and the Auckland office of the New Zealand Film Archive.

The New Zealand Digital Film Festival

“Not Coming to a Multiplex Near You” is a festival of the best digital films to come out of New Zealand in the past eight years.
The programme – put together by Creative New Zealand’s Screen Innovation Production Fund administrator Chloe Laing – features documentary, drama, comedy and experimental films – and it has a different line-up each night.
